Rowan Athale’s direction keeps the pace taut while letting the characters breathe, and the film’s sharp, lived-in banter adds a surprising streak of humor that makes the danger feel closer, not lighter. Luke Treadaway brings restless intensity to Harvey, Timothy Spall lends the story a weary intelligence, and the whole cast sells the sense of old friendships being stress-tested under pressure. It’s a smaller, more intimate crime thriller than you might expect—if you want big set pieces you may find it understated—but if you like smart, character-driven genre films, this one goes down smooth and lingers.
