Mia Goth is the real event: she doesn’t simply play Pearl, she lets you watch a soul perform its own unraveling with charisma, humor, and a frightening honesty that lingers after the credits. It’s graphic and sexually frank, so it won’t be for the squeamish, but if you like your thrillers stylish, character-driven, and a little unhinged, this one is hard to shake and even harder to forget.

Pearl is aiming for a twisted character study dressed up like a vintage Hollywood melodrama, using bright colors and old-school style to contrast with a young woman’s rot-from-the-inside frustration.
