Friends with Kids (2012)

Friends with Kids is a rare romantic comedy that actually sounds like adults talking—sharp, witty, and just honest enough to sting in the best way. It has the breezy charm of a hangout movie, but beneath the laughs it’s quietly observant about how marriage and parenthood rearrange friendships, desire, and self-image. The ensemble is terrific, with chemistry that feels lived-in rather than scripted, letting the humor land naturally and the emotional beats sneak up on you. Friends with Kids is clearly aiming for a smart, grown-up riff on modern relationships and the fantasy of “having it all” without the messy commitment.
