Miles Teller gives Vinny Pazienza a restless, combustible charm, while Aaron Eckhart brings a hard-earned steadiness that turns the trainer-fighter dynamic into something genuinely moving rather than motivational poster material. Ben Younger keeps the film grounded in family, stubborn pride, and the unglamorous grind of recovery, so the inspiration lands because it feels lived-in, not manufactured. It does follow familiar sports-drama rhythms, and the R-rated language and strip-club detours won’t be for everyone, but if you want a comeback story with real bite and real heart, this one hits.
