Kanden Kadhalai is clearly aiming for a breezy, feel-good romance where one lively stranger jolts a broken man back to life, and in its best moments the charm does come through. The problem is it starts to lose momentum in the second half, with a screenplay that can feel stitched together and oddly artificial, as if scenes are hitting beats rather than flowing naturally. If you’ve seen Jab We Met, the comparisons are hard to ignore and this remake may feel like a diluted retread, especially with music and background score that don’t always lift the emotion.
