Rammbock: Berlin Undead earns its bite by doing something many zombie movies forget: it makes the outbreak feel immediate, intimate, and frighteningly plausible, all within the cramped, echoing corridors of an ordinary Berlin apartment building. It’s brisk and lean, wasting no time on grand explanations, instead building tension through smart, practical choices and a grounded, lived-in atmosphere where every stairwell and locked door matters. The result is a surprisingly effective thriller-horror hybrid that keeps the pulse up with tight pacing and sharp, no-nonsense filmmaking rather than flashy spectacle. If you want sprawling mythology or epic set pieces, this may feel small—but if you’re on the fence and crave a short, tense, well-made jolt, it’s an easy recommendation.

Rammbock: Berlin Undead is clearly aiming for a tight, apartment-block siege thriller with a zombie twist, keeping the scope small and the pace brisk. The problem is it rarely feels fresh, and the direction doesn’t add much style or tension beyond the basic setup, so you may feel like you’ve seen this movie in better form elsewhere. Its very short runtime makes the characters—especially Michael—feel thin and the story ends up more like a promising first act than a fully satisfying ride.
