The animation is as deceptively simple as ever, but the pacing is tight, the jokes come in volleys, and the town-wide crisis vibe gives the special an “event” feeling rather than just another episode. Cartman’s war with his mom is classic South Park pettiness elevated to operatic proportions, while Randy’s Tegridy hustle turns the drought into a satirical pressure cooker that keeps escalating in wonderfully ridiculous ways.
