Vlada gets a job as a cleaner, but becomes the salvation of this house.
What people think about Koza Nostra. Mom's Coming
Koza Nostra: Mom’s Coming is the kind of sunny, feel-good comedy that sneaks up on you with its warmth: a culture-clash romp where a tough, no-nonsense Ukrainian mom storms into Sicily and, without trying, becomes the unlikely engine of change in a household that’s lost its spark. The movie’s charm lives in its breezy “vacation-viewing” vibe—bright, sweet, and happily a little cheesy—while still giving its characters enough heart that the laughs land with affection instead of cynicism. Irma Vitovska carries the film with a charismatic, lived-in presence that makes even the silliest moments feel grounded and human. If you’re in the mood for something light, funny, and restorative rather than razor-edged or plot-twisty, this is an easy, enjoyable watch.
Koza Nostra. Mom’s Coming wants to be a sunny, fish-out-of-water comedy where a tough, practical mom barges into Sicily and accidentally becomes the unlikely fix for a crumbling mafia household. The problem is the humor often lands like recycled sitcom bits, with a script that leans hard on clichés instead of building sharper characters or smarter escalation. Some viewers may also be put off by themes and jokes that feel tone-deaf or a bit “harmful” in how they play certain dynamics for laughs. If you’re after genuinely clever comedy, you’ll likely be disappointed, but if you can tolerate broad, lightweight antics and just want an easy, postcard-pretty distraction, it might do in a pinch.
