Desperados is trying to be a frantic, raunchy rom-com about panic spirals, friendship chaos, and the mortifying things we do when dating insecurity takes the wheel. The problem is it leans hard on gross-out bits and overcooked “one more complication” plotting, so the comedy often feels forced and the emotional beats don’t land with much weight. If you’re looking for a smart, warm romance or believable character growth, this may feel thin and a little exhausting.
