Based on a shocking true story, Killer Elite pits two of the world’s most elite operatives—Danny, an ex-special ops agent and Hunter, his longtime mentor—against the cunning leader of a secret military society. Covering the globe from Australia to Paris, London and the Middle East, Danny and Hunter are plunged into a highly dangerous game of cat and mouse—where the predators become the prey.

Explained

What people think about Killer Elite

Killer Elite is the kind of muscular, globe-trotting thriller that feels sturdier than the average shoot-’em-up because it’s built on a real sense of craft: the action isn’t just noise, it’s a pressure valve for character, loyalty, and consequence. Jason Statham brings his usual blunt-force charisma, but the movie gets an extra jolt from Robert De Niro’s weary gravitas and Clive Owen’s cool, calculating menace, turning the cat-and-mouse into something you can actually lean into. Director Gary McKendry keeps the intrigue moving across sunbaked deserts and rain-slick European streets with clean, hard-hitting choreography that’s easy to follow and satisfyingly tense. It is undeniably violent and rough around the edges, but if you want an R-rated action thriller with real momentum and a plot that gives the punches meaning, this one earns your time.
