Faster (2010)

Faster is a lean, mean revenge thriller that wastes no time getting to the point, then keeps tightening the screws with the confidence of a classic back-to-basics action picture. Dwayne Johnson is terrific in a stripped-down, hard-edged role—more force of nature than wisecracking hero—while Billy Bob Thornton brings a jittery, lived-in tension that makes the cat-and-mouse feel grimly human.
