Drew Mylrea keeps the tension tight and intimate, letting small choices and quiet conversations carry the dread until the story begins to tilt in unexpected directions. Stephen Moyer is chillingly convincing as a father whose survival lessons have calcified into doctrine, while Alicia Silverstone brings a grounded, human spark that changes the movie’s temperature the moment she enters it. It’s a lean, twist-minded thriller rather than a big action spectacle—and if you like your suspense psychological, simmering, and driven by strong performances, it’s well worth the trip off the grid.
