Tom and Anna Wright, a young American couple, fall into severe debt while renovating Tom's family home in London. As the couple faces the loss of their dream to have a house and start a family, they discover that the tenant in the apartment below them is dead, and he's left behind a stash of cash—$400,000 worth. Though initially hesitant, Tom and Anna decide that the plan is simple: all they have to do is quietly take the money and use only what's necessary to get them out of debt. But when they start spending the money and can't seem to stop, they find themselves the target of a deadly adversary—the thief who stole it—and that's when very bad things start happening to good people.

Explained

What people think about Good People

Good People is the kind of lean, tense thriller that grabs you with a simple moral dilemma and then tightens the screws until you’re holding your breath. Set in a rain-slick London where every hallway feels like a trap, it turns a desperate couple’s “one bad choice” into a brisk, engaging descent fueled by sharp direction and entertaining performances that keep the stakes feeling uncomfortably real. The movie knows exactly what it wants to be: a watchable, propulsive crime ride where pressure builds scene by scene, paying off with a bloody, skillfully executed finale. If you’re looking for subtle character study, this may not be your pick—but if you want a straightforward, suspense-forward night at the movies, it delivers.
