Director Elisabeth Röhm keeps the pacing brisk and the tension steady, while Stefanie Scott grounds the film with a performance that’s all grit and aching vulnerability opposite Judd Nelson’s chilling, domineering presence. It’s very much in the Lifetime thriller vein—cleanly told, gripping, and designed to hit you in the gut—while also carrying an awareness-raising sting that gives the experience weight beyond the suspense. Fair warning: it’s a tough sit given the subject matter, but if you want an impactful, compulsively watchable crime thriller, this one earns your attention.
