Andrew Baird directs with a lean, pulpy confidence, turning a humble bus ride into a pressure-cooker of crime-noir dread, grim humor, and sudden violence that keeps tightening the screws without wasting time. mgk brings a surprisingly raw, desperate edge to Freddy, and Storm Reid is the film’s moral spark—someone you can’t stop watching because you’re hoping the night doesn’t swallow her whole. It’s a slick, nasty little thriller with real momentum, though if you’re not up for heavy language, drug use, and harsh brutality, this ride may be too rough to enjoy.

One Way is trying to be a sweaty, ticking-clock bus thriller with a wounded crook spiraling toward either redemption or disaster, and you can feel the intention to trap you in that pressure-cooker.
