Each segment is built around a distinct, everyday anxiety—being alone, being targeted, being trapped with the wrong “company”—and the filmmakers keep the vibe brisk and wickedly playful, mixing sharp visual style with bursts of dark humor that make the scares pop even more. Because the tones and setups vary, you get a sampler platter of dread: creepy texting unease, karmic nastiness, campfire camaraderie curdling into terror, and an especially deliciously macabre “stuck in transit” nightmare. If you prefer slow-burn, atmospheric horror, some entries may feel more punchline-sharp than meditative, but if you want effective scares with flair and momentum, 4bia is an easy recommendation.

4bia is clearly aiming to be a crowd-pleasing Thai horror sampler: four different directors, four different fears, and a neat little web of connections between stories. The trade-off is consistency—some segments land with sharp, creepy setups and effective jump-scare timing, while others feel like stretched-out ideas that rely on familiar genre beats and uneven pacing to get to the payoff. If you want one sustained, deeply atmospheric horror film, the anthology format (and the tonal whiplash between segments) may leave you more impatient than scared. But if you enjoy short-form supernatural tales, like comparing styles, and don’t mind that one or two entries will inevitably be weaker, it’s a solid “pick your favorite segment” kind of watch.
