Get Him to the Greek is the kind of comedy that commits so hard to its bad decisions that it circles back around to brilliance, powered by Russell Brand’s gloriously unfiltered rock-god swagger and Jonah Hill’s anxious, sweetly human desperation. It’s a road-trip adventure through the music industry’s neon underbelly, where the jokes are big, the energy is loud, and the soundtrack knows exactly how to keep the party moving even when everything’s falling apart. What really sells it, though, is the chemistry: Hill plays the straight man with real heart, Brand plays chaos with surprising charm, and together they turn a simple “get him to the show” mission into a parade of escalating, ridiculous obstacles.
