Ouija is clearly trying to be a mainstream, PG-13 gateway horror ride: a cursed object, a grieving friend group, and a steady drip of spooky set pieces that won’t traumatize casual viewers. The problem is it plays like a checklist of better supernatural movies, with predictable turns, flat dialogue, and scares that lean heavily on loud jump moments instead of building real dread.
