The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)

The Banshees of Inisherin is one of those rare films that feels both like a wickedly funny fable and a quietly devastating elegy, turning a simple falling-out into something hauntingly universal. Martin McDonagh’s dialogue snaps and sings, but it’s the tenderness underneath—anchored by career-best work from Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, with Kerry Condon as the clear-eyed heart of the story—that makes it linger long after the last line.
