Abhishek Sharma stages it with a pulpy, globe-trotting momentum—underwater sequences, close calls, and a propulsive background score that keeps the urgency humming—while Akshay Kumar anchors the ride as a man forced to interrogate his certainties. The film’s pleasures are old-fashioned in the best way: mystery, discovery, and a climax that aims to leave you stirred rather than merely impressed, with Satyadev bringing a grounded intensity that elevates the stakes. If you’re allergic to mythic reverence or prefer your archaeology strictly clinical, it may feel on-the-nose—but if you want an earnest, PG-13 crowd-pleaser that treats heritage like something worth fighting for, it’s an easy ticket.

Ram Setu is clearly aiming for a big, crowd-pleasing adventure that blends archaeology, mythology, and national heritage into a race-against-time thriller, and it does have moments of scale and sincerity. The problem is the storytelling often feels more like a lecture than a mystery, with convenient leaps in logic, thin character work, and VFX that can pull you out right when it needs to sell the danger. Akshay Kumar brings his usual screen presence, but the supporting performances and writing don’t give the team dynamic much spark, so the emotional stakes land unevenly. If you enjoy faith-meets-science narratives and don’t mind a heavy-handed message wrapped in a pulpy action package, you’ll likely be fine; if you want tight plotting, grounded investigation, or subtlety, this will test your patience.
