In practice, it takes its time getting going, and the plot piles on extra characters and twists that feel more busy than clever, which makes the whole thing oddly predictable despite the “complicated” setup. The cast is strong—Don Lee especially brings heft and presence—and once the action finally kicks in, the fights are punchy and entertaining without being excessively grim.
