Nigina Sayfullaeva builds a quiet, simmering drama around the ache of a loving marriage gone numb, and Yevgeniya Gromova plays Lena with the kind of emotional transparency that makes even her worst decisions feel painfully understandable. The tone is intimate and unsparing, more psychological than sensational, with sexuality shown as messy, revelatory, and sometimes frightening rather than glamorous. It’s not for everyone—its explicitness is real and often confrontational—but if you’re open to an adult drama that refuses easy judgments, it’s a bracing, modern portrait of intimacy unraveling.

Fidelity is clearly trying to be an unvarnished, adult drama about sexual frustration, jealousy, and the messy ways people self-destruct when they refuse to talk to each other. The problem is it leans so hard on graphic, explicit sex that the story can start to feel secondary, and the tone swings between intimate character study and shock-value provocation. If you want a coherent, emotionally deep exploration of marriage, you may find it uneven and oddly hollow despite its serious intentions.
