Half Brothers takes the familiar road-trip setup and gives it real spark by pairing two men who share blood but speak entirely different emotional languages, letting comedy and heart collide in ways that feel earned. Luke Greenfield keeps the movie moving with an energetic, often very funny rhythm, but what sneaks up on you is how thoughtfully it uses the journey to brush against identity, family history, and the human ripples of immigration without turning into a lecture. Luis Gerardo Méndez grounds the story with tightly-wound frustration while the film invites a looser, more free-spirited counterpoint, and the push-pull between them becomes the engine for both laughs and surprising tenderness.
