Hellboy Animated: Blood and Iron is the rare tie-in that feels like a proper midnight creature feature—pulp-horror atmosphere, crackling banter, and monster mayhem all moving with the confidence of people who actually love this world. The animation leans into gothic shadows and bloody folklore, while the voice cast (especially Ron Perlman’s perfectly weary, wisecracking Hellboy) gives it the lived-in charm of a team that’s fought too many nightmares to be impressed by the next one. It’s brisk, inventive fun, bouncing from haunted-mansion chills to full-throttle brawls without losing the eerie, old-European curse vibe that makes the mythology stick.
