Built around a “love guru” setup that invites playful chaos, the movie’s real magic is the crackling chemistry between Salman Khan and Govinda, with Govinda especially turning every moment into a punchline that lands. It’s bright, breezy, and unapologetically a crowd-pleasing entertainer, mixing romance and comedy with the confident rhythm of a film that wants to be a blockbuster. If you’re looking for subtle realism, it may feel broad, but if you want a hilarious, feel-good watch with star power and nonstop energy, Partner delivers.

Partner is clearly aiming to be a breezy, crowd-pleasing rom-com about a “love guru” turning awkward guys into smooth talkers, with big stars and broad laughs doing most of the heavy lifting. The problem is it feels so closely modeled on Hitch that if you’ve seen that film, a lot of the beats land as predictable rather than charming, and the movie rarely finds a voice of its own. The humor leans hard into loud slapstick and chaotic setups, and the script/editing can feel messy enough that the romance and emotional moments don’t always get room to breathe. If you enjoy Bollywood masala comedy and don’t mind familiarity (or you just want easy, mindless entertainment), it can still be a passable time—but if originality and tighter storytelling matter to you, this is likely to irritate more than it delights.
