Taxi 4 is the kind of breezy, good-natured action-comedy that knows exactly what it’s there to do: make you laugh, keep things moving, and let Marseille feel like a sunlit playground for chaos. The film’s secret weapon is the buddy dynamic—Daniel’s cool competence bouncing off Émilien’s well-meaning incompetence—creating a steady stream of playful misunderstandings and cheerful momentum. The vibe is light, optimistic, and deliberately silly, with just enough car-flavored thrills and police-station mayhem to keep the crime plot humming without ever getting heavy. If you’re hoping for wall-to-wall, pedal-to-the-metal set pieces it’s a bit more relaxed than the early entries, but if what you want is an easy, entertaining watch with likable characters and a warm comic rhythm, it delivers.

Taxi 4 is clearly trying to recapture the series’ goofy Marseille charm with another case of mistaken identity, bumbling police work, and a slick driver saving the day. The problem is it feels like a franchise on autopilot: the plot is thin, the jokes are hit-or-miss, and the movie oddly skimps on the high-energy car-chase adrenaline that made the earlier entries worth showing up for. If you’re coming for inventive action and that “can’t-believe-they-did-that” driving spectacle, you may find this one flat and forgettable.
