The vibe is offbeat and slightly noir, where AA meetings, funeral homes, and old mob grudges share the same crooked sense of humor, and the laughs come with real consequences. It is rated R and it doesn’t pretend alcoholism or violence are cute, so if you want a purely cozy rom-com this won’t be it—but if you like your romance spiked with crime and your comedy laced with bite, it’s a surprisingly charming ride.
