Scary Movie 5 (2013)

Scary Movie 5 is the kind of shameless, sugar-rush parody that doesn’t ask you to believe in its world—only to enjoy how gleefully it tears other movies apart. It drops a “new family, new home” setup into a blender of paranormal nonsense, then lets security-cam chaos, broad performances, and the occasional perfectly timed gag do the heavy lifting. The vibe is silly, loud, and proudly stupid, with enough sporadic laughs to make it a surprisingly easy watch when you’re in the mood for junk-food comedy. It’s not for anyone craving clever satire or consistency, but if you want a low-stakes night of goofy scares and dumb fun, it delivers more often than you might expect.

Scary Movie 5 is aiming for rapid-fire, anything-goes parody of the paranormal-horror boom, with cheap gags, familiar setups, and a “just keep swinging” approach to comedy.
