20081h 51mRActionAdventureScience Fiction

It's the year 2707. Earth's natural resources have all but been exhausted by mankind. Battles rage for the remainder between the competing Corporations. During one such battle the seal is broken and awakens an ancient and deadly machine that was once defeated thousands of years ago. The order that awaited its return must now lead a small group of soldiers to destroy it once and for all.

Explained

What people think about Mutant Chronicles

Mutant Chronicles is the kind of scrappy, pulpy sci-fi that wears its B-movie heart on its sleeve and dares you to have a good time with it: a soot-stained future of steam-powered warfare, ancient cosmic menace, and soldiers marching into the dark because there’s nothing else left to do. Simon Hunter gives the film a surprisingly photogenic, industrial-grime look, while Ron Perlman and Thomas Jane anchor the mayhem with the sort of hard-bitten conviction that makes even the wildest turns go down easy. The vibe is relentless, violent, and proudly game-like—more about momentum, atmosphere, and creature-siege thrills than airtight logic. If you can meet it on its own grindhouse wavelength (and you’re okay with severe gore), it’s a serviceable, energetic blast that scratches a very specific end-of-the-world adventure itch.
