Wind Chill is clearly aiming for a stripped-down, wintry ghost story where isolation and bad decisions do the heavy lifting, and on paper that’s a solid setup. The problem is the script feels clunky and underdeveloped, so the tension doesn’t build as much as it lurches, and the story can come off generic instead of chilling. If you need tight plotting, escalating suspense, and a payoff that feels earned, this one may leave you cold. But if you’re willing to overlook some messy storytelling for a bleak atmosphere, a small cast, and a few genuinely eerie moments on an empty road, you might still get something out of it.
