The problem is it often pushes so hard for tears that it can feel calculated—more like emotional button-mashing than an honest, earned catharsis—and the scavenger-hunt structure may strike you as contrived rather than moving. If you’re allergic to sentimental, “important” dramas that spell out their meaning and lean into sweetness until it turns cloying, this will likely irritate you more than it heals. That said, the cast does strong work and there are moments of genuine tenderness, so if you can accept the heavy-handed approach, you may still find something comforting in it.
