The Lazarus Project is clearly aiming for a moody, faith-tinged psychological thriller about redemption and whether reality can be trusted, and the setup is genuinely intriguing. The problem is it often feels like it’s stalling in its own fog: the pacing drags, the dialogue can be clunky, and the “is this real or not?” surrealism slides into confusion rather than tension.
