Full of It (2007)

Full of It takes a classic teen-comedy anxiety—wanting to be someone cooler than you are—and gives it a mischievous, wish-fulfillment twist: what if your biggest, dumbest lies suddenly became your real life? Ryan Pinkston sells the spiraling chaos with a likable, jittery energy, while Kate Mara and a game supporting cast keep the movie breezy and grounded even as it leans into whimsical absurdity. The vibe is light, fast, and a little mean in that high-school way, but it’s ultimately more about the panic of keeping up appearances than cruelty for its own sake. If you’re allergic to broad teen humor or can’t stand secondhand embarrassment, it may not be your thing—but if you want an easy, energetic watch with a clever hook and a surprisingly warm center, it’s worth the time.

Full of It is aiming for a teen wish-fulfillment comedy with a clear moral: lies spiral, and you’ll pay for them—eventually. The central gimmick (everything the kid lies about comes true) has a fun hook, but the movie leans hard on broad stereotypes, recycled high-school clichés, and gags that stretch past their breaking point, so the laughs can feel more forced than earned. Some jokes and “teacher crush” bits may also land as tasteless rather than edgy, which can make the whole thing feel more awkward than entertaining.
