Brett Leonard stages the investigation like a descent into a digital underworld—cold screens, private appetites, and a creeping sense that the real horror is how easily cruelty can be packaged as entertainment—while Alex O’Loughlin gives the pursuer a grounded intensity that keeps the film from tipping into pure grotesquerie. The vibe is confrontational and grimy, with a nasty, nerve-jangling momentum that makes the mystery feel personal, physical, and increasingly suffocating.
