Moving McAllister is the kind of light, road-trip rom-com that sneaks up on you with its easy charm: a simple premise, a ticking-clock panic, and a cross-country trek that keeps finding new ways to go sideways. Ben Gourley makes Rick’s anxious, eager-to-please energy endearing rather than grating, and Mila Kunis brings a spark that turns the bickering and bonding into something genuinely watchable, helped along by a surprisingly polished look for a small comedy. The vibe is clean, breezy, and warmly mischievous—more about chemistry and misadventure than raunch or cynicism—so it plays like a pleasant detour you’re happy you took.
