G-Force (2009)
A team of trained secret agent animals, guinea pigs Darwin, Hurley, Juarez, Blaster, mole Speckles, and fly Mooch takes on a mission for the US government to stop evil Leonard Saber, who plans to destroy the world with household appliances. But the government shuts them down and they are sentenced to a pet shop. Can they escape to defeat the villain and save the world?
What people think about G-Force
G-Force is the kind of exuberant family adventure that knows exactly what it is: a high-tech spy romp where the world’s fate rests in the paws of pint-sized heroes, and it commits to that premise with gleeful confidence. The animation and effects give the guinea pig agents real personality and kinetic charm, turning gadget chases and slapstick close calls into something genuinely lively rather than just noisy. Beneath the silliness there’s a sweet, kid-friendly heart about loyalty and found family, which helps the action land with more warmth than you might expect. It’s not for viewers craving subtle humor or grounded storytelling, but if you’re in the mood for colorful, energetic fun that plays like a Saturday-morning blockbuster, it’s easy to see why it wins over younger audiences and the young-at-heart.
G-Force is clearly aiming for a kid-friendly, high-energy spy adventure where cute animals do cool action stuff and everyone laughs at the absurdity. The problem is it plays like a noisy checklist of familiar family-movie beats, with thin characters, limp jokes, and a plot that feels like it’s running in place even when things are exploding. The voice work and dialogue rarely add spark, so adults will likely feel bored and kids may not stay hooked beyond the “talking guinea pigs” novelty. If you’re just looking for harmless, colorful background entertainment with a few slick visuals, it’ll do in a pinch, but don’t expect it to be clever or memorable.
