Daybreakers has a genuinely juicy premise—vampires running society like a corporate dystopia while the “resource” they live on runs out—and you can tell it wants to be a smart sci‑fi thriller with moral bite. The problem is it often settles for a pretty routine chase-and-shoot structure, with dialogue and characters that do the job without ever becoming especially memorable.
