Tom Gerhardt plays him like a human wrecking ball with a childlike heart, and the film’s vibe is cheerfully anachronistic, packed with physical gags, fairy-tale visuals, and the kind of deadpan silliness where dragons, castles, and romance all feel like setups for the next joke. Beneath the slapstick, it’s surprisingly endearing: there’s a warm, offbeat tenderness in the way it treats loyalty, unrequited crushes, and even a scene-stealing pig who might be the smartest character in the room.
