Benno Fürmann gives Siegfried a grounded, likable heroism, while Alicia Witt and Kristanna Loken add a romantic-tragic charge that makes the story feel more than just monster-slaying. It’s not a prestige epic and it won’t satisfy viewers craving gritty realism or subtlety, but if you’re in the mood for a reasonably entertaining swords-and-sorcery diversion, it hits the spot.
