But be warned: the film isn’t in a hurry, and the early stretch can feel meandering, with momentum arriving later than some viewers’ patience allows. It also leans into grim, unsettling material and occasionally pushes the mood hard with an overbearing score, plus a song-and-dance beat that can feel out of place.
