Deewangi is clearly aiming for a slick courtroom thriller with a psychological hook, then tries to broaden into a dramatic romance to raise the emotional stakes. The problem is that the early stretch feels heavily borrowed from Primal Fear, and once the love angle takes over, the tension and focus can sag into something more stretched and unevenly paced. If you’re allergic to familiar twists, tonal shifts, or performances that lean a bit too hard into “big” emotions, this may test your patience.
