Saya is the kind of protagonist you don’t so much “get to know” as watch in awe, a blur of precision and menace whose presence turns a Halloween night into something genuinely unnerving. It’s brief and intentionally spare on exposition, so if you want a lore-heavy vampire epic this may feel like a striking appetizer—but if you want a beautifully animated, confidently adult jolt of horror-fantasy, it’s absolutely worth your time.

If you want a tight plot with payoff and emotional hooks, this probably isn’t your stop; if you’re happy with dark vibes, striking animation, and a minimalist slice of vampire lore, it can still be a quick, pulpy watch.
