Baise-moi is clearly aiming for a punk, feminist revenge-thriller that spits in the face of polite society, using explicit sex and sudden violence as its blunt instruments. The problem is it often feels less like a controlled provocation and more like a rough, repetitive slog—shaky in craft, thin on character depth, and oddly monotonous for something this “extreme.” If you’re looking for a tense crime ride with suspense, catharsis, or emotional payoff, this may leave you cold; it’s more endurance test than thriller.
