Replicant (2001)

Replicant is the kind of lean, scrappy sci-fi thriller that sneaks up on you: a pulpy high-concept hook, a gritty police vibe, and action that keeps moving even when the budget shows its seams. Jean-Claude Van Damme is genuinely fun to watch here, not just as a bruiser but as a performer playing with identity and vulnerability in a way that gives the movie more bite than you’d expect.
