Explained

What people think about Get Over It

Get Over It is the kind of breezy teen rom-com that knows exactly how to have fun, then surprises you by being smarter than its bubblegum packaging—folding Shakespearean mischief into high school heartbreak with a wink and a song. The movie’s special charm is how effortlessly it turns the drama of first love into a playful musical ride, where crushes, jealousy, and reinvention feel big in that very specific, very real teenage way. Its cast sells the heightened vibe with infectious energy, and the musical numbers keep the pace light, silly, and oddly irresistible. If you don’t like glossy early-2000s teen comedies or find show-tune theatrics a bit much, it may not convert you—but if you’re even slightly open to a clever, feel-good romp, it’s an easy good time.
