Ex-policeman Rollo Lee is sent to run Marwood Zoo, the newly acquired business of a New Zealand tycoon. However, the keepers are less enthusiastic about complying with these demands.

Explained

What people think about Fierce Creatures

Fierce Creatures is the kind of comedy that wins you over with personality first: a madcap premise, a warmly lived-in setting, and an ensemble that knows exactly how to turn workplace chaos into something irresistibly watchable. Kevin Kline is the ringleader you want in a farce like this, steering the mayhem with just the right mix of seriousness and silliness as the zoo is pushed toward a “dangerous animals only” makeover. The vibe is brisk, cheeky, and often wickedly inspired, with jokes that land because the characters feel human even when the situation is gloriously absurd. It can be a bit crude and it lives in the shadow of A Fish Called Wanda, but if you’re in the mood for charming, actor-driven comedy with a mischievous bite, this is an easy ticket.
