The fun is in the contrast—ALF’s shameless appetite for trouble bouncing off stern military corridors and a few surprisingly game human allies—while Miguel Ferrer adds a sharp edge that keeps the comedy from floating away. It’s a TV movie with TV-movie seams, and one brief detour into a sleazy nightclub may not be every family’s idea of “family viewing,” but as a warm, entertaining wrap-up that treats ALF like more than a punchline, it’s easy to root for and easy to enjoy.
