Leprechaun (1993)

Warwick Davis turns the title creature into a pint-sized engine of mischief, tossing out wicked one-liners and escalating mayhem with the kind of commitment that makes the whole thing oddly irresistible, and it’s a kick seeing a young Jennifer Aniston before stardom in a straight-faced role that grounds the madness. The vibe is campy, colorful, and cheerfully mean-spirited in that early-’90s B-movie way—more “laughing at the audacity” than “sleeping with the lights on,” though the R-rated splatter and nasty gags do land.
