Kuffs (1992)

Kuffs is the kind of early-’90s action-comedy that wins you over on sheer momentum: a scrappy, street-level San Francisco adventure with a goofy grin and a surprisingly warm pulse underneath the gunfire. Christian Slater rides the line between cocky and lovable with the sort of charisma that makes even bad decisions feel like part of the fun, while the movie’s privatized “patrol special” setup gives the crime story a quirky, offbeat flavor you don’t see every day.
