Forever Young (1992)

Forever Young has the rare gift of using a sci‑fi premise not for clever twists, but as a gentle engine for longing, hope, and second chances. Mel Gibson plays a man displaced in time with an open, wounded sincerity, and the film lets his fish-out-of-water wonder bloom into something quietly romantic alongside Jamie Lee Curtis’s warm, grounded presence and Elijah Wood’s wide-eyed earnestness. The vibe is tender and old-fashioned in the best way—more heartfelt fairy tale than hard science, with just enough adventure and airborne exhilaration to keep its emotions aloft.
